Emma Wright @ Gustav Chop House

Gustav Chop House, 10 Vacation Inn Dr,, Collingwood ON L9Y 5G4

Join Emma and Rob at The Gustav Chop House in Collingwood for an evening of music.

Rob is a playful mix of blue-eyed soul, slick guitar, and crooning country rhythms with a voice that surfs from solid depths to groovy falsetto highs. He delivers honest love songs, clever social critiques, and compassionate character sketches with thoughtful lyrics and catchy melodies that get audiences dancing — whether or not there’s a dance floor. Rob’s 'Changer' shows off how much Rob has grown and what he’s learned along the way. Where his first two albums ploughed popular themes of young love and heartbreak, Changer explores more mature themes of social unrest and inequality, solidarity, and the deep love that carries a relationship decades on. Don’t think that serious themes make the music less fun, though. With thoughtful lyrics and catchy melodies, Changer proves that Rob Elder still knows how to get audiences dancing – whether or not there’s a dance floor.

Emma is a 15 year old musician from Meaford who loves to sing country and pop. Emma released her first Single when she was 13, "Heroes On The Wall" in support of PTSD initiatives in with The Canadian Critical Incidence Stress Foundation. Emma co-wrote the song with Doug Adams from Damage Entertainment and David Rosenthal, Billy Joels' keyboard artist.

In 2018 she released 4 more songs; "Desperate", "High on the Mountain", "Stone Fiddle" and "I Have a Dream". She worked with songwriter Eric Emerson and recorded them at Pinnacle Studios in Belleville, ON.

At 14 she was one of the youngest musicians ever to perform at Boots and Hearts in August 2018, the second largest Country Music Festival in North America.

Rob and Emma are a great duo, don't miss this evening of fabulous music! They have played at Boots and Hearts and many local venues.
